hey all, I just want to share my thoughts real quick.

So scout Motors is positioning itself as an all-electric brand, focusing on the off-road market with upcoming models that feature fully electric powertrains and range-extended systems with onboard generators. This approach aims to alleviate range anxiety for consumers. I'm interested to see how this shift will influence consumer interest and the overall landscape of electric off-road vehicles. What are your thoughts on this transition?

I think the range extender is a smart move, especially for off-roading where EV range can be a concern. As much as I’m into EVs, I’d still want a fuel backup for longer trips. Scout’s approach might really convince people like me to consider electric off-roading more seriously.

That’s a great point! I think the range extender is a clever way to bridge the gap for people who are hesitant about fully committing to an EV, especially for activities like off-roading where charging options can be scarce.

It feels like Scout is aiming to address real-world concerns, and it’ll be interesting to see if this hybrid-like flexibility becomes a standard feature in the off-road EV market. Would a system like that make you more comfortable transitioning to an electric setup full-time?

Exactly....Having that backup fuel option feels like a safety net, especially when you’re off the beaten path. It’s a thoughtful solution for those of us who love the idea of EVs but are realistic about range anxiety in remote areas.

This kind of hybrid flexibility could definitely make the transition to an all-electric setup feel a lot less risky. If it becomes standard in the off-road EV market, it might even redefine what people expect from these vehicles.
