I don;t see a lot talking about parking and accessibility! Some say cops can't question placard use, but that's not quite right, I'm sure there's going to be an abuse, right? Disabled plates are even better, harder to misuse. Now, on to the real question: should EVs get special spots like handicap or vet parking? I haven't seen it yet, but some stores like Stop and Shop are putting chargers in prime spots. Fair or should EVs wait their turn? What about places with limited space?

There will always be an abuse of power wherever you go, people are naturally greedy and they only want what's best for themselves. Now let's dissect the real question. EVs should only get these special spots if they have proof that they are handicapped or a veteran as it should be. Some stores provide charging stations for EVs and I think it is the right thing to do, we are currently in an era where technological advancement is uncontrollable. It is only fair to give equal rights to people whether they are handicapped or not, if they drive an EV or a gas-powered vehicle. It is up to the owners on how they utilize their space. Let's just be fair to everyone, life is making it difficult as it is.

It all depends on the establishment if they will think about EV owners and their comfortability. It is really hassle free for EV owners if we have a parking space of our own, after all it is still a vehicle and not to mention it emits less waste than gas-powered ones. Isnt that enough for us to be prioritized more?

People who don't need handicap parking permits frequently misuse them, despite the fact that they are critical for those who do. Although special license plates for disabled drivers are more difficult to fake, it's still possible. It;s difficult to decide where electric vehicles should be parked. Having designated parking spaces for them may encourage more people to buy EVs, but it may be unfair to those who drive other types of vehicles, particularly if there aren't enough parking spaces. Putting charging stations in convenient locations benefits electric car owners, but it can be inconvenient for everyone else.
